Buddy's new room - BEFORE/AFTER PHOTOS

How Buddy's room look from Tuesday, 10/4 - Friday, 10/7. He wasn't allowed in it at all.

Buddy's birthday present this year was a complete room makeover. From a captains bed to bunkbeds. From a super messy closet to an organized closet. From nothing on the walls to sporty things on the wall. Babe and I have been planning his and saving for this for at least 6 months. His reaction was everything we hoped it would be plus some! He LOVES it! I am so glad!!!

It's been a year since we moved into our home in PA! I can't believe how fast the year went! And now that all the nail pops from settlement have been fixed...I've been painting and painting and painting. Buddy's room was the 1st room in the house to be painted :) I then painted the bathroom on the main floor. And after that, it was Princess's room :) Check out the BEFORE/AFTER pics below! I am in love with all of them :) I think I'll be painting the kids bathroom next!

All in a days work

We had a busy and fun weekend! Saturday we got our taxes done, then headed to the White Marsh area. We ate lunch at Ikea, then splurged on some storage units for the toy room --- woohoo!!! We then dropped Buddy & Princess off at my parents for the night, and took Monkey to Babe's parents! It was Monkey's first sleep over and he did GREAT! Apparently he only woke up twice and was easy to get back to sleep! Great job, Monkey! Babe and I had a little date...we went to Della Rosa's with some friends. It was great to get out and have some adult conversation (even though most of the conversation was about our kids, LOL!)

Sunday was a day spent building things. Babe, with the help of my Dad, Bryan and Larry, put up the trampoline! The kids were soooo excited! Buddy had a blast jumping on it and so did Princess, but it was a little too cold out for her.

While they were putting the trampoline together, I was in the toy room putting together our new storage units from Ikea. Our toy room was a WRECK. I couldn't even go in there.

I didn't even know where to start with cleaning.

So, I told Babe that if we could get the toy room organized then he'd have a happy wife.

It worked ;) And yes, I am very happy with the outcome!

Well, it's been 2 weeks since we settled on our new home in Pennsylvania :) And what a 2 weeks it has been! We are slowly but surely getting settled into the new house, and everyone is loving it! Buddy's already made neighborhood friends, and is excited for school every day! His first night in the house he told us he didn't need his bed rail anymore - so he's been sleeping without it and doing great! No falls! Princess is loving all the outside time. From chalk to her slide to her little bike - she's eating it all up! She's also been sleeping in her toddler bed quite well! Woohoo!

I definetely think this was a great move for us! The house is beautiful! THe neighborhood is awesome! And our new neighbors are even more awesome! The community is tiny, but has a lot going on. There's a great ice cream shop within walking distance. There's a Rutters within walking distance as well! All my days of walking to 7-11 from my childhood house can now happen for my children, as they will be able to walk to Rutters :) The scenary is beautiful driving anywhere near the house. Everything about it is wonderful! I cannot wait to watch our babies grow up in this house and community! :)

As of 8.22.10...

It's almost done!!!!!!!! :) We settle in just 8 days!!!

The updates this week, on the outside, are: we have a drive way! We have a mailbox! We have our front porch light! We have a light post! Our door is painted red!

The updates this week, on the inside, are: Carpet is in! Sinks/toilets are in! Cabinets are almost in! Wire Racks in closests and pantry are in!
